Warehousing Site Selection includes determination of the optimal site based on

Warehouse Layout And Workflow Design are functions of the customer service level needs and the physical storage and handling requirements of the inventory being stored. Material handling equipment specification as well as other various equipment needs is addressed.
Warehouse Operations include the physical and clerical/support activities required to meet customer service requirements. These include the basic warehouse functions of receiving, stocking, picking, staging, loading and ship verification. Customer order processing and answering customer service inquiries are also addressed. Particular attention is paid to the need for cross-docking operations and shipment consolidation.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) Design And Implementation includes a needs assessment based on existing and future requirements. The design may range from a simple manual "shoe box" locator system to a fully integrated, on line, real time system using bar code scanning technology and automated receiving and shipment reporting systems.
Cycle Counting And Inventory Control Systems that ILS develops and implements incorporate the warehouse physical activity and clerical processes into a single, focused effort. We emphasize the need to do the right thing every time. Successful inventory control systems are founded on solid, continuing training and adherence to established inventory control processes. Usually activity based, cycle counting programs are designed to ensure the "book" inventory accurately reflects the physical inventory. Inventory is counted based on acceptable sampling levels; and adjustments, if required, are made immediately. This helps keep the general ledger and the perpetual inventory record "in synch."
Customer Order Processing involves a complete analysis of existing processes with an eye toward streamlining and simplifying the flow to minimize non-value adding activity. The ultimate goal is improved customer service and reduced order cycle times.
Reverse Logistics (Returned Goods) deals with the processing of returned products, either for credit and inventory adjustment or simply as a “Sales Concession.” The review includes all aspects of returned goods from authorization to disposition of the items.
Packaging Engineering services can be made available through our carrier members and their laboratory facilities. ILS also provides basic packaging engineering expertise.
